This is the last post of a three part series on thankfulness. In the past two posts I related Paul’s awe filled passage in 2 Corinthians 9:15:
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15 ESV)
Now I want to bring it home. Practical application. How can I be thankful?
1) Praise God when things are tough.
Job praised God when his kids were killed. (Job 13:15 ESV)
2) Offer a prayer of thanks for others to God.
We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 ESV)
3) Share the blessings in Christ with others.
The Corinthian church Paul talks about in 1 and 2 Corinthians was generous. Generous people share with others.
Help us be thankful for all You have done. Help us be generous and living. In Jesus Name AMEN.
